The award
In September 2020 the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, awarded Supplied Industrial Solutions two contracts totaling about $17 million to repair and modify ten pump stations on the Armourdale and Central Industrial District levee units in Kansas City, Kansas and Missouri.
The larger contract, about $14 million, covers seven pump stations on the Armourdale Levee Unit with structural, stability, process, mechanical and electrical modifications.
The program
The Kansas City Levees program is a federal investment to improve about 17 miles of levees and floodwalls along the Kansas River. Construction on the SIS contracts was scheduled to begin in October 2020 and finish in 2023.
